Birth and death dates from a Funeral announcement card in Ann Van Valkinburgh's keepsakes box. A copy was made.

Harold Bald was also known as Baldie. He was in WWII, possibly on a landing craft. He was crippled in the war, possibly by having his legs pinned by the landing craft. I received this information from his nephew William Van Valkinburgh in 2000/2001.

Aug. 2001
Received a newspaper article from William Van Valkinburgh about some silhouettes painted in an old shed about to be torn down, they were of Harold. The article is from the Coeur D' Alene Press, June 20, 2001 called "Burning Memories". There is a picture of a 6 year old Harold in a goat cart in 1929. It has an interview with his daughter, Barb Buckley.
